My solo Euro trip was ran on a tight budget. I knew I'd be flying from city to city on budget airlines like WowAir, RyanAir, and Pegasus. These airlines charge for checked baggage or for carry-on bags each way. The only way for me to avoid paying for checked bags, I packed less than I needed with the intentions of hand-washing my clothes along the way.
For WowAir, I paid $50 for my carry-on each way. The carry-on baggage allowance is a small hand bag and a suitcase (to be paid for) measuring up to 22x18x10in. My 21" Upright American Tourister suitcase measures 21" x 14" x 7".

For starters, I roll my clothes as tight as possible, packing the more bulky items first and stuffing the smaller items into the crevices in order to make the most of the little space I have.
In my carry-on, I packed:
1 pair of Blank NYC black jeans
1 pair of Lou &Grey brushed sateen pants
1 pair of Lou & Grey chinos
1 black A-Line Dress
1 red Romper
1 basic H&M hoodie
1 blazer
1 lace-trim tank top
1 long sleeve tee
2 sleeveless tanks
1 pair of H&M sweat shorts
2 off-the-shoulder long-sleeved tops
1 mini umbrella
5 pairs of socks
1 pair of cozy socks (for the plane)
1 blanket
1 going out cross-body
1 South Moon Under woven basket (I used as a bag some days. The top folds into itself, making the basket easily packable)
1 pair of SUAVS Zilker Air Mesh in Black/White
1 pair of black oxford mules
With these combinations, I had clothes for going out and walking around the city and I was comfortable traveling between each of the five cities I visited.
